Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran was born March 10, 1949. She is an American investor, speaker and consultant. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real-estate brokerage. In 2001, it was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran left the company shortly after. One of the show's first "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in all 12 seasons of ABC's Shark Tank until now. Corcoran has been involved in 53 deals since February of 2020. The most significant was a $350,000 purchase to provide 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second in a family of 10 children who was born in Edgewater. Florence, her mother was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. Her father was always changing jobs during Corcoran's entire life. Her family sometimes relied on free food delivery from a local grocery store. Corcoran recalls her father as one who sometimes consumed too much alcohol and was rude to her mother and condescension, particularly when he was drinking. Corcoran was a struggling student throughout school. Later, she discovered she was dyslexic. Corcoran started in high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood after attending an Catholic primary school. Corcoran was proficient in several courses during her first year. She transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a D.
