Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political adviser who was the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 222. A member of the Democratic Party she has previously served in the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant communications director (2009–2011), the spokesperson of the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns for CNN from 2017 to 2020. Psaki began her professional career in 2001 when she worked on the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was later appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki also worked as communications director for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and as regional press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was appointed the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 election campaign. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. The appointment at the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney after he left the White House,[21] but, on May 30th in 2014 it was announced Josh Earnest would replace Carney. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained there until the conclusion of Obama's presidency.
